Soon after many other students embraced the movement #FridaysforFuture. They stayed home on Friday to demonstrate against the effects of climate change. In 2019 climate campaigners around the world joined together to organize the very initial Global Strike for Climate. It was hugely successful; more than 1.6million people from over 100 countries participated.
