Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the fourth child in the family. Her parents, a dentist as well as a teacher recognized and backed her passion for acting and theatre since her early years, which overcame her initial ambition to become a primatologist thanks to her passion for monkeys. Her meteoric rise as a young actress was quick and accompanied by her early successes. Alongside her acting profession, she has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some pictures at Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival under the title Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on celebrity and fame, and concentrates at the media who have scrutinized her following her sudden fame with Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her first big role, starring in the role of Le Fabuleux Destiny d'Amelie. Amelie was a worldwide box office smash and was a cult hit at numerous ceremony awards around the world. It is the most successful French language film in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of movies ranging from British dramatics such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
