Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be given 10/10 points during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. First competing in the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. And in 1970, won. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she was awarded three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974, she was an all-around junior champion. In her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars using a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her path into the entertainment business began during her teens when she started performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 at Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. When she was a child she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating shows.
